Dr. Clifton W. Griffin, Jr. is a native of Louisville, KY, and a product of the JCPS school system, graduating from Breckinridge Elementary School, Meyzeek Middle School, and Atherton High School. Following his high school graduation, Dr. Griffin moved to Columbus, Ohio, where he attended Columbus State Community College and graduated from Wilberforce University’s “Climb” program in 2003 with a B.S. in Information Technology. Also, during this time, Dr. Griffin spread his wings by joining the U.S. Air Force Reserves, where he served as an Information Management Specialist for 12 years and performed unique security assignments before being honorably discharged. After returning home in 2010, Dr. Griffin completed his Master of Science in Business Communication and Doctor of Leadership degrees from Spalding University. He is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity degree from Campbellsville University. He serves as Student Pastor and establishes and leads the “All the King’s Men” ministry at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ under the leadership of the Reverend Dr. Jamesetta Ferguson, Senior Pastor. 

Dr. Griffin is employed with the Dare to Care Food Bank as a partner development manager managing relationships with a network of 200 plus other nonprofits across 13 counties between Kentucky and southern Indiana. He also serves as the organization’s safety committee chairman, Spalding University Alumni Leadership Council member, and recently, Board Member of MOLO Village Community Development Corporation. Dr. Griffin has been joyfully married to his wife, Ebony, for ten years, and they have a three-year-old adopted son named Mayben
